One of my favorite images from Villa Blanca Cloud forest lodge in Costa Rica

Freaking Beautiful Hummingbird. No flash was used as it disturbs the hummingbirds. Taken with an Olympus OMD M-1 mk1, Metabones speedbooster and a Canon 300 F2.8 V1 (vintage lens). Handheld at F3.5. The reengineered polarizer was used in the 300 lens.

Upgraded polarizer

Trying out a new polarizer on the 300. I modified the vintage stock drop in polarizer to use a HRT Hoya filter. The photo was taken late in the day. The heron's colors are more intensely rendered with the polarizer and a slightly faster shutter speed due to the lower light loss of the Hoya.
